1928 Ford Model A Leatherback Fordor Sedan

Recommended Posts

I have a 1928 Ford Model A Leatherback Fordor Sedan for sale that was built by the Briggs Manufacturing Company. This body style wasn't available until May 1928, and this car has Engine Number A512202 which dates to October 1928. This is a very presentable older restoration that is correctly finished in Rose Beige with Seal Brown moldings and an orange pinstripe. The car was restored to original specs, and is in unmodified condition with a working oil pressure gauge, a modern temperature gauge, and a working Boyce Motometer on the radiator. The car starts right up, runs drives and stops very well.

Price: $22,000 BO

My first car was a twin to that car, I am hoping mine never got restored as it was an original paint, original interior car.

If that car came out of Michigan in the 70's, it MAY be it ... not sure of the VIN

I sold it when I got my 34 Ford deluxe Tudor in 1971 ...

A May '28 car should be sporting a fan shroud and a powerhouse generator. Also the emergency brake lever is incorrect; it should be a squeeze type grip brake handle. It should also have a multiple disc clutch. Nice looking car but I would loose the modern gauges;Takes away from originality,At least for me , especially for the price!
