Layden B
The forks they are mounted on are Model T Ford 1911-1914. The lamps themselves are typical of aftermarket and truck application, most factory automobile lamps have the door hinge on the side rather than on top. The strap brackets that the forks are mounted on hint that these were on the firewall of a truck. Shape of the bodies of the lamps, 4 screws on face of the doors, ribbed lenses, and all steel construction indicate a later teens manufacturing date. Some trucks carried gas lamps well into the 1920s as they had no electric starter and generator system. If you were strong enough to load and unload the truck, you were strong enough to hand crank the engine!
