Richard Lichtfel
Could this have mounted on a dash board and the long stem would extend below the dash making it easy to wind and set? I have seen a dash clock many years ago that mounted that way.
caddyshack
Jim, Absolutely beautiful clock! Green Dragon is correct, Waltham clocks were used by many auto manufacturers, and also as accessory aftermarket applications for years. Waltham's homepage will show many different styles. It is hard to tell exactly what auto it is from, but maybe someone has one in their auto and can verify the year. Good luck.

I have seen a dash clock many years ago that mounted that way.I assume so, it IS very handsome and in great condition, just wasn't sure if it was a generic type or OEM for some manufacturer (higher end cars perhaps?) D Yaros
Am I missing something, or does it only have one hand; looks like the minute hand, not hour?
keiser31
Am I missing something, or does it only have one hand; looks like the minute hand, not hour? There are two hands.....you can see the hour hand beneath the minute hand. See where part of the "Waltham" is blocked out by the hour hand end?
fcarnut
It is sitting at 12 o-clock. If you look closely you can see the hour hand about half way down the minute hand. Right at the Waltham on the face
