keiser31
It is a bumper clamp for about a 1926 Pontiac. It holds the two bumper face bars to the bumper bracket. Edited July 12, 2011 by keiser31 (see edit history)
Curti
Early Pontiac was my guess, but the angle of the threaded holes in the casting is confusing.

nzcarnerd
In that era the bumpers were mostly supplied by outside companies and the car makers added their own badges. It may even be a dealer fitted item.
keiser31
Here is the Chrysler item sans one bolt. It says "STEWART WARNER" on the back and there are part numbers on the clamp and the bent piece. The last photo is a 1927 Pontiac radiator emblem, so maybe the clamp went on the 1927 also. TheMoneyPit
There were 2 different sizes of the Pontiac "coin-style" emblem. I think 1926 was larger of the sizes and 27 used the smaller diameter "coins". Your clamp may cover 26-27 and even later.
