Schmitz
Hello! Here's a car found at an old familiy album. My father told me that this car was the first ever in our region (Cologne, Germany). Any hints?Thank you!Danielhttp://www.cwwcardesign.com/sightings/oldtimer.html

1937hd45
Welcome to the AACA Forum, GREAT PHOTO! The car is a German built Piccolo, the first air cooled car built in Germany, it had a V-twin engine. I was a very popular car that was used in post cards at the time, I'll post a few as soon as I find them. thank you for posting the photo!
1937hd45
Daniel, I think the car in your photo is a 1904-05 based in the wire wheels. The ones in the postcards all have wood wheels and carry 1907-08 postmarks. The car was produced 1904- 1907.
1937hd45
The two green cars in the colorizes postcards may or may be the same as the two cards I first posted. The car in the black & white photo is a four passenger dos a dos seating vehicle, the backrest is visable behind the head lamps.
