Fabulous historic custom offered at RM Auburn Fall 2019 auction, Saturday August 31, 2019. Contact Roger Willbanks 303-918-0079 or RWillbanks@rmsothebys.com for more information. John North bought this new and sent this 1957 Ford with the E-Code engine (two four barrels) to the customizing shop almost immediately. The car is mostly original as it was built and shown in 1957/1958.

for sale 1954 kaiser darrin hard top.
PowDeb replied to nick8086's topic in Kaiser, Frazer, Darrin, Henry J, Willys
Thanks Nick8086, I really like the look of the car with the hardtop. Was it Andy Schroyer who made the mold? I understand that Andy was the one who originally created the Kaiser Darrin registry. Also, is it true that you have to totally remove the soft top and frame to install a hard top? As much as I like the look of the hard top I don't know if I would be willing to do away with my soft top. I am still trying to figure out how to access my soft top, I was pulling on the lever in the trunk and it seemed to be activating a release but when I went around to the cover area I couldn't open it. Waiting for a nice hot day to try to put up my soft top. Thanks for the information! -

PowDeb replied to nick8086's topic in Kaiser, Frazer, Darrin, Henry J, Willys
Can you provide me with the manufacturer of these hard tops? I would like to get one for my 1954 Kaiser Darrin. Also, I have not taken my soft top out to check the condition but figure I will need to replace the soft top at some point...does anybody know where I can buy the material for the top and/or the side curtains? Thank you, Debbie 847-668-5004 cell -
Bortz Auto Collection "Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance 2016 21st Century Concept Cars Bortz Auto Collection is proud to announce that they have been invited by Bill Warner of Amelia Island to have two of its newest concept cars to be the stars of the show. The first is the 2001 Lincoln MK9 designed by Gerry McGovern. This car was the hit of the 2001 New York Auto Show and it is a one-off show car. The second car that will be on display together with the 2001 Lincoln MK9 is the 2003 Mercury Messenger. This car was scheduled to save Mercury Division of the Ford Motor Company. The 2003 Mercury Messenger was introduced in 2003 to the press at the Ford Auditorium by Chris Theodore and Gerry McGovern. This prototype was lowered on a platform from the ceiling by a cable in one of the most dramatic introductions of any show car ever. The car was setup with an electric drive system. There are many that believe that had this car been produced it could have saved the Mercury Division of the Ford Motor Company. http://www.newswire.com/news/bortz-auto-collection-concept-cars-return-to-amelia-island-concours-7024012 If you would like to see additional videos and photos of these concept cars let us know. Just bought a 1926 Packard Sport Phaeton that was owned by the previous owner for 60 years. It is in extremely rough shape but it is original. I would like to find a used hood ornament with a Motor Meter. Anybody know of one? Also need a back seat...any ideas you can share with me?
