rsmith143
Never bought repos before and would apreciate any and all opinons on quality and fit. I have a 70 442 and one thing i heard is all the repos have the little ripples on them.
oldsfan78
i worked in a body shop 4 about 3 years. the bodymen were always complaining on how aftermarket parts fit, also they would have to modify panels 4 a better fit. i would recommend original fenders if u have the choice all the mounting holes are there and they were designed by gm. much better over all fit and quality. rocketraider
I was talking to a Chevelle friend last night and he asked about current GM Reproduction Parts sheetmetal. I haven't messed with it, but I suspect it's made by Sherman or GoodMark. Anyone know for sure who makes it and how well it fits? One of the hotrodder kids had a 66 Mustang that got nailed by a deer, and he had to tweak and beat and bang an aftermarket fender something fierce to make it fit. Body man said he didn't spend much less time fitting it than he would have spent repairing the original fender.
Bhigdog
I can't address fenders but my rule of thumb is " If it's a repro anything it ain't gonna fit without rework.".........Bob.
