Peter J.Heizmann
Hi, Rick.Turbopackman requested of me, and, in his terminology, that, his "account be cancelled", meaning, "Deleted (Banned) from the AACA Forum, to include "all posts".Turbopackman did not mention any specific reason, only, that this action be taken.FYI: When you notice "blanks" within the "Last Post column" and only a date, it will appear as soon as someone makes a post within any given thread.Peter J... Guest JT
Sorry, I was only looking at one thread and had not noticed the whole place was gone I only meant the ones pushing the limits of the litmus thread. I hadn't noticed any of yours that would offend.

Peter Gariepy
Sorry guys... the posts in question are not missing. They have been deleted by request of the poster. Unfortunately all "repy" posts were also deleted.Restoring them from backup is not possible.Peter
Peter J.Heizmann
Rick,Turbopackman specifically requested that his "account" be cancelled completely. This deletes any posts he made, or, replies made to his posts.

Guest imported_Speedster
Since the Admins of this forum think we Need to do a Lot of Deleting, I'm Only trying to Help.
tbirdman
Seems like that was one stupid move. It seems to me if one posts on a forum, it become public record. Now all of that good infomation that the post have accumulated, can never be seen again. That is a crying shame.Speedster, please don't request your posts be deleted on the whole forum will go up in smoke.
Guest Randy Berger
And the moderators or overseers or whatever act as childish as some of the participants they rail against.
Guest 55_Clipper
Randy, I agree that Turbo had a right to delete his posts, but if he wanted to delete all his replies he should have done so himself. If he didn't want to participate anymore, he had the right to take his ball and go home, but he had to get his ball on his own, not have a moderator do the work for him.
Guest BJM
Typically I have seen posters leave and their posts are headed by "Anonymous" which leaves the thread intact. The AACA shouldn't feel like they can get sued I hope? They should not comply with this wish, but they should, at request, remove a posters identification, back to Anonymous. I saw where John Shireman (53Packard) left a couple of months ago and his posts are Anonymous now. He had a lot of caustic comments but also some good information. Wasn't TurboPackMan the V8 Packard on-line club guy? Strange.
Peter J.Heizmann
I posted the following in the thread: "Speedster".

Quote:

Folks...I take full responsibility for any and all inconvenience to the Packard Forum partipants.Should Eric's posts have remained -- On hindsight, yes. Guest JT
Can the subject titles be added back to the various threads?
Peter Gariepy
Once again, I apologize for a moderator's unintentional mistake. Had I been able to fix this problem I would have, but that was not possible. We have put new procedures in place to prevent this problem from occurring again in the future.Again, my most sincere appology for the problem.Peter P.S. Thread subject title's have been manually fixed as best as possible.
Tom M
Pete,Thanks for the apologies.Don't you love modern technology? Remember only a few years back it was using an eraser to deleted things.
