Whitewall Tires

I can't imagine anything but a blackwall tire on the Reatta's. This post brought to mind the old "Porta-walls", if you remember them. Came in many widths. You could try a set of them.. or get creative with your computor and generate a set of whitewalls on a photo. I have two sets of Porta-walls laying around somewhere. One is 14" & the other 15" - and they're redlines. You could have them on a Reatta for a different look ?!

This is the closest thing to a photo of a Reatta with whitewalls that I have found. It is from the 1990 Buick dealer album. I have no idea why they would have done this line drawing with whitewalls but the errata sheet in the front of the album mentions this page. I hope this helps with your decision about ww tires.

I'm with you on this one. IMHO a blackwall tire sets off nice wheels, it doesn't compete with the look of the wheel. Of course it is purely a matter of personal taste, and if you like whatever look you choose, that is entirely your right. Of course this is only my opinion, and I am from the rat rod school, that if it works, stops, goes, turns or rides to your taste, the beauty is in the function, the rest is just window dressing <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
