89REATTAJIM
1: I don't think so, but Barney will probably advise. 2: No airbag in '89, except for an occasional passenger.
Barney Eaton
The early Select Sixty was a 1988. According to GM's records, there were 55 made (I don't know why they didn't make at least 60)I only have 5 confirmed cars. The problem being (1) I cannot access GM's records for that year like I can for 1990 and (2) since few of the cars had the special hood emblem added, there is little to identify the cars. We believe all 55 were black with tan interior and the vin # were all in the 901000 range. If you think you have or know of a black 1988 please contact me for further details. Guest F14CRAZY
How about the X22 code?
Barney Eaton
The X22 code is the only know way to identify a 1988 but you can not see that from the outside of the car. That lady in California that claimed to have a 1988 would not provide a photo of her service parts label .....so if the owner does not cooperate, it is difficult to verify a car.
