There were two of these cars built by McLaughlin-Buick, both on commission to the Canadian government. They were hand built (by factory employees--no coachwork firm was contracted) on 1939 Series 49 Limited chassis that were stretched to 155 inch wheelbase. According to Seventy Years of Buick both cars were maroon, with one having maroon upholstery and the other beige. They were the largest passenger cars ever built in Canada.

Both cars still exist. One is owned by an Ontario provincial museum, and it was on loan to the Sloan Museum's Buick Gallery and Research Center during the Buick Centennial Celebration in 2003. The other car is in private ownership in British Columbia, and saw official service in 1986 when Charles & Diana used it during opening ceremonies of the 1986 Vancouver World's Fair.
