carbuff
My 1989 Reatta switch modlues backlights only work when the fog lights are on. When I have the fog lights and the headlights on together and then put the brights/headlights on the backlights go off and the speedometer and CRT unit go to daylight mode and get real bright which is blinding. Any suggestions on fix?
padgett
Common problem. Have three options in order of expense/difficulty:1) New headlight switch2) Rebuild headlight switch3) Spray tuner cleaner & lubricant from Radio Shack in cracks in headlight switch while working switch. Guest tomt
Re the spray cleaner, which really does work. It was never mentioned before, but raise the headlights with the console switch before operating the headlight switch. It may sound obvous, but I didn't do it the first time. This is a lot easier on the headlight assembly.

Vincent Vega
Lesson is stop here first. Dealer would have clipped you about 2 bills on a replace/repair you didn't need. This place is great!!
