goose7
Hi Everyone,My other half is thinking of putting a 1942 Pontiac Limousine 2 door hardtop up for sale. It is one of only a few made, and is definitely a project car, he is sanding it down and putting primer on it, but that's about it. How do we find the marketable value of vehicles like this? I have tried Google, but not a lot of luck. Thanks!
huptoy
The book store will have a magazine called "Old Car Prices". It comes out monthly but the prices change little from month to month.

Matt Harwood
Yes, please make sure you're correctly identifying the vehicle--if you don't know what you have, you'll never be able to sell it! Limousines typically are long sedans with 4 doors, just like today. I don't believe Pontiac made any limousines (ever?) in 1942, and certainly never made one with 2 doors! Perhaps it is a 2-door coupe or 2-door sedan? Photos would definitely help clear it up and help us give you a point in the right direction as to value.Good luck. Husky Jim
Try this link. They are the only free Internet valuation I know of for vintage cars that goes back to pre war stuff, but I am sure there are others such as the insurance companies use.http://manheimgold.com/car_lo.html
