Park it next to a '96 Corvette pace car (purple/yellow). Now which one looks silly?<P>This '59 manages to be refined and flamboyant at the same time, much like BMW and Mercedes' best work of today. Well if that's the case, I will put lettering on my cars & call them pace cars too!

The important point here is that a white '59 Electra 225 convertible really was the Indianapolis 500 pace car for '59 and looked just like this one. You couldn't put letters on just any year or model and call it a "pace car". At least this one looks authentic.

I understand what you guys are saying about the lettering, but the car is so damm classy it just doesn't warrant that non-original idea........but, then again, that's only my opinion...
