harry yarnell
Just got my '88 wheel back from American Stitches, and it's BEAUTIFUL. Looks like new; can't tell its been recovered. Downside: $200.
knjake
Does't sound like you were abused on the price.
George Madsen
Harry, how about the authenticity quotiant color, grain, stitching, etc.; how would you rate each. I am considering having the same company do mine. What color is your wheel
Barney Eaton
I have had two wheels done by American Stitches and the quality is equal to or better than new. The color is matched to the original color on the remains of the wheel you send. There is little or no grain in the factory wheel and that is what you get from A.S. The workmanship is excellant, the quality of the stitches and work around curves is super. Early on I found a company in Michigan that specializes in Corvette wheels. They would do a Reatta wheel but had lots of excuses.... they would need to make a pattern (extra charge) did not know if they could match the colors (since all they did was Corvettes, they only stocked Corvette colors) When you deal with companies like that you are always concerned about the quality you will see when the wheel is returned. No such concerns about A.S.I have a unused 1988-89 tan wheel done by A.S. that I do not need. Will sell for $180 exchange and you pay the shipping, or $200 outright and you pay shipping.......or what do you have to trade (Reatta parts)? harry yarnell
Barney said it all. You can't tell from factory; color, grain (really lack of) and stitching are spot on. My color was burgundy. Turn around time (door-door) was 17 days; Texas to Maryland.
BBurk
American Stitches sounds like they do a great job. What is the phone number and location of American Stitches?
harry yarnell
3149 N. I-30, suite H Mesquite, TX 888-403-3403. Have a nice website, but can't locate it right now. Do a search, or, I'm sure someone will jump in.They can even do some 'custom' stuff, like part leather, and part simulated wood, like on some of the newer cars and SUV's.
