Guest
Now I understand the differences. Actually, there are lots of American cars here in Russia, -- they don't get sick of our poor quality benzine, and winter is OK for them too. But those are mostly newer models (makes).... Hard to find 80's Caprices etc..
Pity
Guest
By the way I'm surprized I couldn't find any scanned Buick manuals - only books on Amazon - for sale. It's really strange for me that no enthusiasts place scanned manuals for rare cars on their sites...
And...finally.....they don't wanna accept my russian Visa on Amazon! geno
Eugene,
My first relization the there were quit a few American car in Russia was in 1997 when
my son attended the Helsinki Business School
in Mikkeli Finland. After a visited to serveral business in St. Peterburg, he got 2 Russian car magizines from a publisher. The translation was 5TH Wheel. At the time we had a Polish Engineering team manager at work that was educated in Russia and he translated some of it for me. Really interesting articles and advertisments!
Gene

Guest John Chapman
Eugene,
These model years are not so rare here. For real, original owner's manuals, showroom literature and factory shop manuals, I'd suggest searching eBay. I suspect you could find them for a very reasonable price. I'm not too certain of how to resolve the Visa card problem though. Maybe it's only Amazon that has a problem.
Other sources are:
http://www.factoryautomanuals.com/
http://www.autolit.com/
http://www.autoink.com/
http://www.lloydsautolit.com/index.htm

Happy hunting!
JMC
