1930 Buick Throttle Linkage Question

Recommended Posts

I've all but finished a full restoration on a 1930 60 series Phaeton. I can't for the life of me however figure out how the throttle linkage from the bottom of the steering column gear back to the firewall... how it connects - the mechanism - to the actual foot throttle.

Any information / pictures that could be provided to help me out would be greatly appreciated !!

Regards.

I do not have a picture, and my memory may be WAY faulty...but..

the rod that comes forward to the throttle from the pedal has a clamp on it about half-way to the firewall. (return spring may connect to it here) at this point a slide fits over the shaft and as you advance the hand trottle it pulls on the rod against the aforementioned clamp. How the rod is routed from the gears on the bottom of the steering coloumn I am fuzzy..but think it is a straight shot.

If I am way wrong I hope someone corrects me.
