Vincent Vega
On a 1988 are the front running light bulbs supposed to be 194 or 194NA? I can't find the specs in my fsm. Right now mine are all 194NA. I can't really tell from the brochure pictures. Thanks.
2seater
The amber NA bulbs should be the correct ones, as there is no amber filter inside the housing. The clear bulbs could be used but you will have a mix of clear and amber light to the front if you do.
Barney Eaton
A little more clarification on Hals answer. 194 is a standard small bulb used in many places on GM cars. 194A is the same bulb BUT the "A" stands for amber.I see some aftermarket places selling these bulbs with blue, red, green and other coatings. Guest kennyw
so is someone also making the white turn signal bulb in ambor? Would make a lot of sence not trying to replace the glass tube......what were they thinking? ken
Barney Eaton
No... we are not talking the same type of bulb, The 194 bulb is a small low wattage incendecent bulb. The bulb that has the often broken amber enclosure is a 55w halogen bulb. The halogen bulb will become too hot to allow paint or any other coating to stick.
