Jolly_John Posted October 22, 2003 Share Posted October 22, 2003 Hi, Gang. Has anyone found a good, "tubular" 6v. inline electric fuel pump that's available today? I'm referring to the more modern, small type of pump that almost looks like an inline gas filter. It does not hang down like many electric fuel pumps. Rather, you have the inlet, the round pump body and the outlet all in a straight line. This style of pump seems much less obvious than the vertical or "hang down" style. It has a filter and works by a toggle switch under the dashboard. I don't know where the guy got it but his name is John Faust at www.Honestjohn.com. He could tell you where to get it. Guest Curt Fouse Posted October 23, 2003 Share Posted October 23, 2003 I have an electric pump near the tank on a 51 Cadillac. My biggest complaint with it is that it is pretty noisy. On the plus side though, When the noise stops you know that you have filled up the carburetor! I have been hearing how common the '47 6269 sedan is, and yet I cannot find them for sale on the internet, and we do look! They are not as desirable as a convertible 62 or the venerable 60 Special but I think the 6269 sedan is a marvelous car, roomy and comfortable.Is your '47 a Buick?
