....In October 2016 the restoration had begun. It would take three years and in 2019 the work was completed at a cost $96,386.31.
The original 292 engine has been rebuilt and upgraded to a 312ci. A new solid state electronic breaker less ignition system and the replacement of the old-style generator with a reliable alternator has given a new life to the 12-volt system. Brighter headlights and dependable starting just to name a few. The 2 speed Fordomatic transmission has been replaced with a 3 speed C-4 automatic. These changes have made both city and HWY driving speeds a pleasure. Sigh. . . . .

Take the rare lower line hardtop (Customline) which is never seen, and add the common Fairlane trim???   

When you could have restored it as it was intended and had a one only car at every show.

This happens with a lot of 56-57 Chevrolet hardtops. Instead of celebrating the unusual 210 trim, they are ALWAYS restored as a Belair . . . .
