BOD voting by state

We have had several requests from Chapter Directors, Regional Directors, and others asking "how many people voted from my state?", so we took the time to break the ballots down by state. The first numer behind the state is the number of active members currently in the state, the second number is how many ballots were cast from the state. For those who who have an unsatiable hunger for numbers, we currently have 9382 members (there are a large number of June renewals not back yet) and we had a total of 1366 valid ballots cast. This was a vast improvement over the 500 or so valid ballots cast last year. Here's the rest of the story:

Thank you Mike and Nancy your efforts are appreciated and very revealing as to what part of the country is most concerned about who our B.O.D. members are and which states have lost or have little interest in selecting the leadership of the BCA. Like you say, a big improvement over previous years, but we still have a LOTS of room for improvement. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for that information, Mike and Nancy! I guess that now that this information is available, perhaps our chapter operatives might take some steps to increase their chapter's voter turnout in future elections--"legally", of course? But not to dictate who to vote for either.

Thanks!
