Dropacent Posted July 13 Share Posted July 13 (edited) SOLD , THANKS ! Nice cap here. Unsure what it fits, but I’m guessing something larger from the Late 1920s- early 1930s. Outside is in great shape. The inner part is showing light cracking from the potmetal construction, but nothing falling apart yet. A light coat of good epoxy in those would be the first thing I’d do. Works as it should, very freely flips open. Hole for an ornament or motometer. Looks like the standard radiator quarter turn application, and made by Faith Mfg Co who were famous for their caps and hood ornaments in Chicago. Also has the # 56 underneath that probably identifies it. Perfect for that ornament display or to switch out a fancy ornament at your car shows. wayne sheldon Posted July 17 Share Posted July 17 The area that attached to the radiator neck looks like the heat got to the pot metal a bit. I suspect that a steel piece could be made fairly easily to bolt on from the inside to allow use of this flip-top cap along with a Motometer or goddess of your choice.
