And if anyone had told people that in 1902, nobody would have believed it. Except maybe Henry himself?

 

It truly was an incredible time in the history of humanity. Never before had the world of men, technologically and sociologically, changed so much in such a short time. Living on the farm to living in cities. Working on the farm to working in factories. Electric light, telephones, radios, phonographs, the automobile? If they existed at all before 1895, they were few and far between. By 1930 they were almost everywhere major civilization was.

When you look at these publicity photos of Henry and Edsel together, has it occurred to anybody else but me that they couldn't even pretend be pleasant for the camera? If you look at their faces while these photos were being taken, they say a whole lot about the relationship between father and son.
