Never even sat in a Jet, same money buys stepdown sedans. They would probably make for a good daily driver.

I've owned several back in the day.  They aren't much different really than a '53-54 Ford or Chev.  Just slightly less roomy.  The difference is in the driving.   Comparing SIX cylinder cars now..... the Jet will walk quickly out in front of the competitors because they are light and thus have a high horsepower to weight ratio.   Add Twin-H Power dual carbs and for the day, one could call it HOT.  But this car on offer does not have Twin-H.   Jets are a little top-heavy as they appear to be.   The overall quality is that of a '54 Hudson Wasp or Super Wasp which were not as high as the Stepdown Hudson standard had been from '48-53.   Yes, they can be good basic transportation.   I've mentioned oil pump drive gears and front suspension parts being hard to come by in previous old thread comments for anyone wanting to do research.
