Leif in Calif
Looks very nice, but pretty optimistic price and only one picture! Too bad because I really want to see that period correct AM/FM radio! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/d/pasadena-1931-deluxe-phaeton/7728241385.html This is a late 1931 2-door Dlx Phaeton. This car is an older restoration, showing a mere 3,573 miles since restoration. The car has a 4:11 ring and pinion rear end with Borg Warner overdrive. The engine was rebuilt at the time of restoration. It has a Stromberg 97 downdraft carburetor, Broomfield head, Ansen intake manifold, electric fuel pump, gas and oil filters, turn signals, water temperature gauge, seat belts, updated distributor, and 39 clutches. Correct period steering column mounted AM-Motorola radio. The two spare tires are mounted in the front wheel wells and covered with a chrome cover. It is painted Washington blue with straw-painted trim and wheels. It has simulated leather upholstery in excellent condition with seat belts in the two front seats. A 12-Volt electrical conversion has been made to include a 12-Volt alternator and new battery. The canvas top looks like new. This car is equipped with etched wind wings, a chrome radiator guard, six white-wall tires, and an aftermarket trunk rack. Asking $32,000. zeke01
This car seems to be a victim of enhancements inflation. Zeke
Jeff Perkins / Mn
1931 Deluxe Phaetons (180A) are an uncommon breed indeed. Car is built as a driver and I for one think it would be a good one. The right colors too! The price is in the ballpark for this model and I bet it will sell rather quickly.
