DanLyman
This is mounted on the door of a 1926 Chrysler F-58 coach. I believe it is labeled Pann Manufacturing Co. I also think there was one on each side. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!
30DodgePanel
Maybe some sort of after market sliding window or blind was mounted to seperate the front and rear seats? Kids, camping or other reasons...
E_Johnson
In-or-Out Auto Shade, Dunn Manufacturing, Clarinda, Iowa. It's a combination window shade/awning. Click this link and look in the trade journals: https://www.google.com/search?q=In-or-Out+Auto+Shade+Dunn+manufacturing&sca_esv=602041652&biw=1600&bih=731&source=lnt&tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A1%2F1%2F1900%2Ccd_max%3A12%2F31%2F1935&tbm=bks I have a friend with a Willys Knight that has window awnings - don't know if they are of the same manufacture. 1
30DodgePanel
Never even thought to try Dunn, searched everything else but that... Good find E Johnson I was thinking the original post was saying the frame was attached over the shoulder of the driver and passenger. Now it makes much more sense. Mike Hage
I have a 26 model 50 coupe and a sedan. Found the same brackets on mine screwed to the door post. I thought they were an aftermarket thing as well.

30DodgePanel
Was looking at some period photos online while I noticed this car sitting parked on the street and thought of this thread. Kind of cool to see in a vintage photo. Here's the rest of the photo
