New amendment for older electric cars passes the House in PA

Recommended Posts

This is not meant to be political per se but to recognize a politician who is protecting our hobby in Pennsylvania.  State Representative John Lawrence successfully introduced an amendment to a bill that would tax electric vehicles in an equitable manner as those with ICE vehicles for their fuel.  This tax is to maintain our highways, etc.  His amendment which passed unanimously was to NOT tax electric vehicles prior to 1990.  Our 1909 Studebaker and 1980 Commuta Car will not see the road anytime soon so it does not affect us but nice to see a legislator having our back. The complete bill still have to be approved by the Senate and Governor.

Encouraging to read this, hope other legislators from other states take heed ( they will have to be informed to do so since most all of them are clueless about old cars and their use and preservation) Take the time to let your elected officials know about this. DO Not complain is a law gets passed that you could have done something about.............
