1962 buick Antenna removal

Trying to remove my non-functioning power antenna (1962 Wildcat).  It is freed up but can't get it out.  I think it comes out from below but there doesn't seem room to do that.  The antenna is not completely down (about 2" of antenna showing) but I don't think that is the problem.  Any tips appreciated.  Thank you all.

It varies with vehicles but in the junk yard,  I remove them by separating the inner fender from the fender.

You may need to also remove a fastener at the bottom of the fender to get enough flex to get it out.

Some GM cars have a lot of "stuff" attached to the inner fender and some may need to be loosened to get

the flex you need.
