llmorris75
Trying to remove my non-functioning power antenna (1962 Wildcat). It is freed up but can't get it out. I think it comes out from below but there doesn't seem room to do that. The antenna is not completely down (about 2" of antenna showing) but I don't think that is the problem. Any tips appreciated. Thank you all.
Caballero2
I went through that on a '63 that I had. If my old memory works, and I remember, there was a panel in the splash pan of the inner fender. Hope this helps.
Barney Eaton
It varies with vehicles but in the junk yard, I remove them by separating the inner fender from the fender. You may need to also remove a fastener at the bottom of the fender to get enough flex to get it out. Some GM cars have a lot of "stuff" attached to the inner fender and some may need to be loosened to get the flex you need.
llmorris75
Thank you both for the advice. I'll look for the panel or anything I can remove to get it out. It will be a little while but I'll post an update later.
