supercub
Can anyone tell me the engine oil capacity for an oil change on my 1918 Maxwell? Also, when the steering column timing lever is up, is it advanced or retarded? Thanks
Max4Me
Supercub, I have a 1925 Maxwell/Chrysler (Canadian built) I don't know about oil capacity for yours, but my timing lever is retarded when down and advanced when up. My son's 1925 Chevy and a friend's 1917 Model T are the same configuration. I can't be 100% sure but I'd guess that's standard design.

hddennis
Pretty sure your 1918 is the same as my 1917. Here's the starting instructions from a 1917 Maxwell Owner's manual:
