Jolly_John Posted September 23, 2023 Share Posted September 23, 2023 NOS Delco-Remy part #1913500. This is an OEM distributor breaker plate upgrade kit that Delco brought out in 1950. This kit eliminate the troublesome, original three ball bearings the breaker plate rides on. After some miles, this original design didn't perform well, resulting in erratic ignition timing due to the sloppy spark advance caused by the worn or sticking ball bearings. This NOS Delco-Remy upgraded system ditches the three ball bearings. Instead, the redesigned breaker plate rides on three smooth phenolic resin bearings. This is a real improvement. This breaker plate upgrade kit includes a set of Delco-Remy ignition points and a condenser. New lead wires and installation instructions are also part of the kit. FYI: At this point, I wouldn't trust the condenser. Fits 1940 BUICK according to the application info I have. No other years of BUICK were listed. The price is $33, plus the shipping.
