Last summer my wife and I moved from the house we built outside Madison, WI 25 years ago, to a lake house in the northwoods of WI, near the vacation town of Minocqua.  I had a 50x60 shop at the Madison place, but only a small garage up here.  Nowhere to keep the collection, so they all went to good homes.  The silver '46 Roadmaster was our favorite, and tough to part with.

I thought I'd be done with the pastime after 30 years, but I decided it would be OK to build another small garage.  And, if I were to limit myself to just one old car, a well kept pre-war Buick sedan would be it.  On Saturday, I'm heading to MN to pick up a '40 Special owned by a gentleman since 2009.  Here is the straight 8 exhaust manifold fix he wrote up some time ago.  This, along with the 5 page detailed account of everything he'd done on the Special since 2009 told me I'd be adopting the right pre-war Buick.

I'll now be on the hunt for the old iron community in this part of the northwoods.  If any of you are in or around the Minocqua area, I'd very much appreciate hearing from you.

For right now, the speedometer needs going through.  Any recommendations for where to send it would be welcome.

Back in the game.

Best, Chris Rewey

Regarding your speedometer issue, finding a reputable speedometer repair shop is crucial. Since I don't have access to up-to-date information, I recommend doing a local search or asking fellow enthusiasts in your area for recommendations. Often, experienced classic car enthusiasts will know of trusted shops for speedometer repairs. By the way I like to play under such music, today I found information about the best JackpotCity Casino bonuses  https://casinosanalyzer.ca/online-casinos/jackpotcitycasino.com and now I want to play all the bonuses I can under the music. I prefer roulette the most in casinos, red can always win) Welcome back to the world of classic cars, Chris! Enjoy your '40 Special and the new adventures that come with it. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
