1964 Triumph Herald $16K

Recommended Posts

Cute car with a pretty high price...I really just posted it so I could say I remember a contemporary road test with the best title ever: " Hark, the Herald Axles Swing".

Very nice running little Triumph Herald. Fun around town, leisure cruising. Very dependable and mechanicaly in great shape. We've enjoyed for years but now time to move on to new owners. We're downsizing and not going to have garage space for this little gem. Please contact me for more information and or pictures. I'm taking a loss at $16,000 asking price but will entertain offers as it needs to go. My loss your gain! 805 674-6338 leave message

I love it. I can't exactly tell from the pics, though - did the Herald convertible have a rear seat? I know nothing about them, and never saw them as a kid growing up. Also, was it roomier for tall people than the TR4? Looks like a lot of clearance between the guy's knee and the dash.

They do have a rear seat but anyone over about 5 feet would find it a tight fit.  This is a 1200 which was also used in the Spitfire.  The twin carb version produced just 39 horsepower but it was a surprising spirited little car.
