dibarlaw
Sorry to miss this John. I sold a Stewart #208A which is what the 1924 6 cyl. takes. I believe a 216A will also work as that is what is on my 1925-45. Also be aware of the need for attaching hardware. Shut off valve. Top "Banjo" fitting etc. BOB'S Automobilia still lists the choke/heat control facing for the Master style. $$$ I have some broken ones and a cobbled up brass casting of one. John Nelson
Larry,I’m sorry to take so long to answer your message but I just saw it this morning, still getting used to this site. I’m still evaluating all that I need for my Buick, it seems like this one was just painted and gotten running by a bit of a “hack” back in the 60’s. The firewall was pretty much cleaned off, no data tag, plumbing for the vacuum fuel system and an electric fuel pump installed. It actually is in pretty good physical shape but will require an engine overhaul which is in process and the body removal for a repaint due the need to strip the old paint. If you had a photo of a properly set up firewall I would really appreciate seeing it, it would really help me out. The information you have provided is invaluable and I really appreciate it. This is going to be a fun project but a bit different than my previous ones in being that parts and information isn’t quite as available for it. Thank you again for all your help! Oregon Desert model 45
This was a broken heat choke plate that I fixed up for my 25-45. It was a originally a thin brass veneer wrapped over a diecast potmetal backing which had disintegrated. I fabricated a steel backing to fit the original veneer, choke knob and heat lever.
dibarlaw
John: Here are some photos of a 1924-45 that I bid on in 2010. Pretty correct car otherwise. Only missing Starter/Generator cover, sparkplug cover and headlight tie bar. I sourced these parts for the new owner. But, he pulled the engine down to try to free it up. He went bankrupt and sold the car apart for less than half he paid for it in 2010. Those peices I found for him did not find their way to the next owner. The engine was locked up and the high bid owner spent the next several years NOT getting it unlocked. 1924-49 I do have the correct cowl tag for a 1924-45 if you need it. The upper exmple is what we pulled from this cowl. Edited July 3, 2023 by dibarlaw (see edit history)
dibarlaw
The same 1924-45 after the latest owner freed the engine. It showed up at out 2017 Mason/Dixon Freysing Buick Car Show.
