Having trouble to  work out weather to remove the windup mek  or leave it in place its getting it to run in its slide in positions have urethane the steel groove to the glass   as all that is permanently set in place  this is for my 1937 dodge d5 model very frustrating i can tell you  Regards JohnDSCF0123.JPG.4a0e90319611b7e57bd32f2f0e69a3f3.JPG

If you mean that you can't get it on the lift rail(s) you will likely have to at least take the bolts out of the lift mechanism so you and 2 other hands can guide everything into place.  I just did this on a chevy.
