dodge28
On my 28 DB Senior the original thermostat is very large , about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. It is unavailable. I bought one that is designed to fit in the top hose. The question I pose, is one from a 1968 Chev. be modified to fit the 28 DB Senior ? By adding a flange to the small thermostat ? Ron Lawson
Harry I found years ago what I thought was an original 160 deg F thermostat Turned out to be to small It needed another half inch diameter on the flange I cut a .8 mm brass plate the same shape as the thermostat housing flange. cut a hole in the center of it to fit the thermostat the soldered them together The only thing is you have to use 2 gaskets one below the flange and one above
