Buick35
Hi,My son and I put together a 70something 351 Windsor engine that our neighbor gave us for use in his Mustang. My question is at the back side of the heads there's a threaded hole( a spark plug will screw into it).Could those be plugged or do they have to be connected together? Is it for an emission device or what? They're blocked off for now(with used spark plugs) and it seems to run o.k. although has been burning a lot of oil. Just curious,Thanks.Greg
joe_padavano
That is for the air injection (smog pump) piping. You can plug it if the car does not require a smog pump.
