XframeFX
I am compiling a list of new and used Parts that need to be purged in 2023 prior to down-sizing in 2024. I‘m looking to place a $$$ value on a couple items. The 1st item is a 980463 Wonderbar from a 1963 Riviera w/foot switch but incorrect knobs. Was working when removed but will need an electrolytic capacitor re-fresh. $100? The 2nd item is not Buick but I’m struggling as to what value I should start with. I know SBC engines are common place and non-vintage crate and rebuilt SBCs have prices on them. But my thinking is, being an NOS small journal vintage 283 SBC, it would be perfect for an original restoration on a ‘60s GM, even late Studebakers! Casting #3959532 places it mid 60s. This is an NOS “Fitted Block” having pistons, bearings and plugs and rear main seal. Includes separate re-man. forged crankshaft and re-sized con-rods to make somewhat of a short block. Appreciate advise on this Block. What’s it worth - ? Thank-You
arnulfo de l.a.
Those 283’s are great engines. Had one in a 63 impala i had as a teen and that thing moved ! Very dependable too. Go to a antique chevy truck forum. I read a few posts on one that they are sought after these days. I think you can get a better idea of what they are worth there.
