XframeFX
I've always wanted a Rochester Q-Jet for my 401 Nailhead. The days of stumbling upon a '66 Spreadbore intake for CHEAP are long gone. Then there's that large pancake Air Cleaner. There are adapters to go smaller but not really any that adapt bigger without hood clearance problems. So, assuming the "400 Nailhead" in the '66 Skylark GS below has a Q-Jet, would the Air Cleaner pictured fit under the hood of our 1st Gen. Rivs? It appears to have a low profile as well. If so, all that would be required is a red crinkle re-finish! Thanks!

BulldogDriver
I’m currently working on a solution to open an original Air Cleaner’s carb hole to 5 1/8” that will be practical and not so hard to do that you couldn't get it done almost anywhere. Your only concern would be if the Quad was taller than an original carb. Will post asap. Ray
