Martha Twining
Hi we are new to the classic car world. Lots to learn! Our 364 engine is being rebuilt as we speak. I am looking for engine mounts which I found to buy but are one unit parts, did it used to be two? One mount that goes on the side of the engine and one mount on the frame cross bar the engine sits on? We had 2 mounts that came off? But Buick book doesn't show the bottom mount? Sorry to sound stupid but any help is appreciated.
JohnD1956
It started as one mount. Two steel plated bound together by a rubber shock absorber vulcanized to both plates. There are rebuilding sources if you look in a publication such as Hemmings Motor News. But you should also check the list of Buick Parts Vendors found in the first thread under the Buick-General tab here in these forums
