Remove/Delete Cover Photo

How can I remove this cover photo (red arrow)?

I want to make this my avatar. Can't find it in the account or profile settings

GOTO your name - top right

choose "Profile"

click the little icon next to your profile image.

The red arrow is pointing to a photo in your signature. It's not a cover photo. To delete the signature photo do the following.

 

-Click on your avatar to open your profile page.

-Click on "Account Settings" at the top-right of that page.

-Scroll down to "Signature" in the menu on the left and click that.

-Then delete the photo from your signature.

Thanks you guys I knew it was simple. All I want is the avatar picture. Ill insert it again and see if I get it right this time. Newbie here getting the flow of the site,

Gah its still there. Ill keep trying. Maybe I have to log out and back in for it to stick? We'll get it sooner or later.
