Can I get some help to identify this headlight bezel? Early Dodge Brothers?

I think this bezel may be for an early Dodge Brothers car. 1916-1921? Can anyone confirm this. Or tell me what it fits? Any help would be appreciated.

The ring looks like the headlight rings on '17 & '18 D-35 & E-35 cars.

What are those cars? I have only seen Dodges by years not any model number.

The rims look Dodge, here are a couple of photos of the retaining clips in my 1920.

Mark D-35 and E-35 cars are Buicks I believe.

I have a couple bezels like the one you have that I thought where later Dodge. 22-27.

What lenses do you have. The plain glass or the fluted ones that say DB?

The sizes and profile of the one you show look about the same as my Dodge rim. The DB Master Parts list was not helpful without knowing the car serial number or year to answer the year range that the latches I showed would work on. The latches I showed, work on my 1920, when they changed or year range, sorry don't know. The lens I have are ribbed with the DB on them and fit my rims.

Just as a point of interest, I have read that Dodge didn't start using the fluted lenses until 1922. I cannot say its true with 100% certainty

While maybe the early cars might have had flat glass lenses, laws changed around 1920/21 requiring headlights that were aimed thus the fluted lenses. More than likely cars that were still on the road would have gotten the newer style lens or replaced with them when got broke.

My 1919 Essex had headlight rings that looked like that too. I no longer have the car, so I don't have anything to make comparisons with.
