For Sale: 1965 Chrysler New Yorker 2dr Hardtop - Project - $4,400 - Greenwich, CT

1965 Chrysler New Yirker 2 door - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... (craigslist.org)
Seller's Description:

A nice straight, simple, solid car. Good condition for its age. Runs and drives well. Kept indoors for most of its life. All original. No accident repair, no modifications. Paint has faded and is scratched in places. Never been repainted. There is some surface rust, but very little, if any, body rust. Can be driven now and easily restored one day if desired.

Age related wear and tear in the interior. The odometer stopped working 200 – 300 miles ago. The radio doesn’t work. Elbow rests are not in good condition; the visors are in poor condition The original vinyl seats may need help, but only the passenger seat is split. The dash and steering wheel are very good. The car has no A/C but has fresh air inlets under the dash and vent windows. The seat and windows are manually adjusted, eliminating problems with electric motors.

The engine starts and runs well. There is a slow water leak through one of the freeze plugs. The battery and tires are good. The rear bumper has a sizeable dimple, apparently from the prior owner backing into a low pole.

odometer: 78346

That was an interesting look.  I don't recall any other car that tried that one...

So that was a factory installed feature? Very interesting. I had no idea that such a thing was available. It would take a while for me to get used to that, but other than that, the car seems to have promise, IMO. Just make sure the freeze plug leakage isn't actually the result of a cracked block. (Oh, and verify the title.) Cool!
