Pulled my latest issue from the mail box and was very pleasantly surprised by the front cover photo tribute to Chris Ritter.  What a great way to honor his life and service to AACA.  I can't really explain my reaction to seeing the cover.  My sincere compliments to whoever decided to honor Chris in this way. So young with so much life ahead of him that will never be lived.

Jeff, we felt it was the perfect picture.  It is Chris and although the cover occasionally gets to me, West and I felt strongly it was the right thing to do.  It is a departure from our  normal magazine holiday cover but this hobby is much more than strictly about the cars and history.  It has a huge human element.  Chris touched many lives and most who encountered him had a great experience.  He was a "special" guy and meant a lot to our club and the entire hobby.  It was a life torn away from us all too soon and it has left a huge hole in the hearts of many.  It was the least we could do and we will do more to recognize his contribution to this club.
