For sale is a 1940 Cadillac Formal Sedan (Limousine). The last year of the V-16, 261 examples were produced. Only 5 did not have side mount spares. This vehicle is in excellent original condition, runs and drives, and has 45,644 miles on the odometer. It is meant to have a driver, thus the window between the front and rear seat. That rear area has a large bench seat, several jump seats, a small bar and its own radio. No dents and excellent black paint cover this 19-foot masterpiece. 16 cylinders provide all of the power needed for this vehicle. It looks sleek and smooth without side mounts. With this car you could start a limousine service, parties, graduations, trips to casinos etc. The VIN tag on the firewall shows this car is body # 1.
V-16's trade so seldom that value is hard to establish but I do not believe you can find a cheaper one.

I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1940 Cadillac V-16 Formal Sedan.

Note: The Style No. 40-9059 specifies a Formal Sedan, 5-passenger.  Being upholstered in broadcloth throughout but with a partition window, makes it's the berline body configuration.   The concept was a formal sedan which could be both owner-driven as well as chauffeur-driven with the partition window employed when the owner chose to do so.

Nice car!   Have we seen this before?    If the engine is good,  then I'm on board.   If the engine is not,  that is 75K or more these days.
