2carb40
I recently bought an original loose leaf book contains the published service bulletins that belonged to a mechanic at a Buick dealer. The illustrations and photos are really clear and some aren't shown elsewhere. Here as some examples for your enjoyment
rocketraider
Invaluable stuff. Good find! There was an Olds guy years ago who'd buy up stuff like this for the musclecar years and then cull everything that didn't specifically mention the performance cars. Wouldn't have been so bad except he purposely trashed everything else. I count myself lucky the stuff I have survived intact.
2carb40
Amazing how much're-engineering that took place each year. I have a number of service bulletin books for different years and it would almost seem like their thought was, it's not perfect, but throw it out there and all the things wrong with it will show up in the customers hands! 2
KAD36
Those service technician examinations are cool. I have a couple Oldsmobile ones from the 50s from courses my uncle took. So…what was your grade 🧐
rocketraider
Olds called their program "Service Guild". I think Pontiac was "Service Craftsman". Not sure what Chevrolet and Cadillac called theirs. Did Buick have a name for their program?
