Anybody go to the auction? It was yesterday. Convenient if you live in Boomtown, USA(Williston), Bismarck(ND), Buffalo(WY), or Glendive(MT), but not so much if you're in the wilds of New Jersey or Florida. If you can get over buying an antique car sight unseen, I guess it could have been one of those auctions where there's a few in person and a lot of phone(or online) bidders.

The Chevy pictured is listed as a high bid slightly over $10,000.  If you go to the auction site and view lots, it shows high prices bid.  If it was a no reserve auction, then those are selling prices, though site just says "closed" on each lot....

Howdy David,

I'm guessing they just wanted everything outta there with no reserves unless they had a bid minimum of _ _ _ to set starting bids. Here's a sampling of the high bids. I think the '28 Franklin was the feature car but I woulda been happy with it, the '26 Hupmobile, '29 Packard, and of course the '25 Peerless, if I was in a financial position to buy a 30x50 pole barn - a lot - and the cars.

Here are some numbers if you're interested in the business side of the antique car world:

  1. 1928 Franklin $27,500
  2. 1931 Cadillac $27,500
  3. 1925 Peerless 5-Pass. Touring Phaeton $9,350
  4. 1929 Packard $3,850
  5. 1948 Lincoln Continental Conv. $14,300
  6. 1926 Hupmobile $3,300
  7.  1928 Erskine $3,520
  8. 1925 Buick $770
  9. 1936 Buick $650
  10. 1940 Buick $550
