New Bronze Brush clutch plates

Brush Model D and newer, low and reverse bronze clutch plates.
These are water jet cut out of the Hyster bronze clutch plates. 
4 x bronze plates to replace the original Brush bronze clutch plate. 
These work much smoother in operation, for a smoother clutch engagement.
I get these cut to order.
Please allow around 6 weeks from order confirmation before ready to be shipped (can do worldwide shipping, USA shipping is about $90AUD)
$496 AUD + shipping

spec:

bronze plate with oil groves

OD 159.0mm

thickness 3.2mm 

 

these will fit the BC transmission but only have 6 fingers not 12 as BC do

An update on the clutch plates,

We have made over 18 sets for Brush owner here in Aus, NZ, Norway and USA.

We have done many hundreds Kilometre's on these plates and are still very smooth in engagement/operation.


June-2023 edit: now over 24 sets

Apr-2024 edit: now over 35 sets.

Hi Simon, I think I am going to need clutch discs because the car will hardly go in reverse. Any slight incline and it absolutely won’t move. I’m in the process of removing the tranny. Let me get it out and apart and I’ll get back to you. Sorry I missed your reply.

Hi Simon, the bronze discs in our transmission are the six finger type. There are two of them sandwiching a plain steel disc. On the outer wear ring of the bronze discs I’m measuring about 2.9 mm thickness. Do I understand correctly that two of your discs replace each of the original discs? Simon, I have a 1909 Model E Brush that will barely move in reverse.  I believe that the clutch discs are worn.  Do you have plates available, and if so, how can I make arrangements to purchase some from you?
