The engine was removed from a running 1940 Buick Special coupe about 20 years ago and it has been stored in a heated garage ever since. The block is not cracked and there is very little if any rust in the cylinder bores. This is a great opportunity to get an excellent core for to replace a cracked block. The block includes a 1940 bell housing, crankshaft, and timing chain backing plate. Total price $100.00 to a good home. Additional parts available at additional cost. Pick up only. Hi, Leif. That looks like a pretty sweet deal, given this engine's "history" and subsequent storage. Think how easy it is to blow $100 on something like eating with the family at a restaurant, especially when a couple of the grandkids order a LARGE chocolate milk with their meal! As you know, I'm not in the market for '40 parts these days, but I still wanted to compliment you for offering an excellent deal to the guys on the forum. John
