Columbia 2 Speed

I have just joined the LZOC and recently acquired a '37 Zephyr Coupe. The owner's manual is silent as to operation of the overdrive. Is there a minimum and maximum speed for engagement/disengagement?

I would contact Columbia Two Speed Parts and buy their Primer on care and operation of the Columbia. It will save you many headaches and keep your Columbia working properly.

I have one, and was told to to drive it like a pre-selector. Push in, or pull out control knob, let off gas, push in clutch, let out clutch.

And you’ll crash your Columbia!  Anytime you pull or push the overdrive cable make sure the clutch is pushed in until the shift is complete.  Never activate the overdrive knob then push the clutch.
