Robb
Can anyone tell me what the button on the right does. The left is high beams, but I can figure out the right one. thanks!
JohnD1956
Did the 1950 Buicks have a Selectronic radio? In '56 that was an option, and the 2nd button was a second way of activating the signal seeking function of the radio. But I did not think that was available in 1950
rocketraider
Found a thread on antiqueradios.com that stated Buick, Olds and Cadillac got the signal seeking radio in 1950, Pontiac in 1956 and Chevrolet except Corvette in 1957. Apparently all C1 Corvettes had it. Having had two of the accursed things I'll take my chances with a preset button or a manual tuning knob.😼
Robb
that’s it! A selector button for the radio. Who knew? I read the ops manual over and over again but skipped the radio potion because that can’t be it. thank you!
JohnD1956
@Robb great! I bet that is a very rare option for a 50 Buick. I have never seen one. Would you post a photo of the radio face in the dash board?
rocketraider
Yes, picture please! 1952 is the earliest I've seen even in gadgety Oldsmobile.
